NEW POSSIBILITY ORGANIZER

Beyond the limits of business,
new possibilities for society.

When someone is in trouble, we want to help. When someone is suffering, we want to reach out. With that feeling at our core, we envision, test, and give shape to new initiatives. For the very issues people tend to dismiss as “too hard” or “just the way it is,” we create new possibilities for society—with ideas that make people think, “I never knew there was a way like this.”

Nuclear Abolition

Mobile Atomic Bomb Museum

Issue
As hibakusha (atomic bomb survivors) pass away, the living symbols of the nuclear taboo are disappearing. More people grow up unaware of the nuclear threat, and those who oppose nuclear weapons remain an invisible, silent majority.
Cause
Fewer people can speak firsthand about war and the bombings, and chances to physically grasp the inhumanity of nuclear weapons are fading. Museums are fixed in place, out of reach for most of the world.
Action
We create immersive exhibitions that convey the nuclear tragedy through experience — designed to travel, so the museum can be brought to the world.
Vision
A society where anyone, anywhere, can re-live the nuclear threat and where voices against nuclear weapons become visible — so the will for a nuclear-free world no longer ends as a silent majority.
Results
  • Held in Hibiya, Tokyo, August 9–11, 2025
  • Covered by Nagasaki Shimbun, BUSINESS INSIDER, Fujingaho and more
Giving Cycle

FFG En Deposit

Issue
The bar to donating is high, and donors rarely meet the people running NPOs — keeping understanding of and involvement in social issues shallow.
Cause
Donating carries the psychological hurdle of “going out of your way to give.” The distance between donors and the field makes it hard to see what one’s donation leads to.
Action
A new form of giving where simply saving money becomes a donation: a “donation-type time deposit” in which Fukuoka Financial Group donates to nonprofits in proportion to deposits. Depositors vote for the causes they want to support, and briefings report back on the impact.
Vision
A society where contributing is an extension of daily life, no special resolve required — a co-creative regional ecosystem where banks, citizens, and NPOs face local issues together.
Results
  • Offered April 1 – June 30, 2026
  • Recipients: SOS Children’s Villages JAPAN (Fukuoka), Nikori (Fukuoka), Aso Green Stock (Kumamoto), Peace Education Lab Nagasaki (Nagasaki)
Partners

Senior Welfare

Happy Aging Project

Issue
As social security costs rise with an aging society, seniors feel anxious about old age while the young bear the economic burden. The longevity humanity wished for has become hard to celebrate.
Cause
Seniors are cast as “the supported side,” losing roles and connections in society. With few cross-generational touchpoints, their experience and time go untapped.
Action
We turn Japan’s largest senior community — senior clubs with 5 million members — into a practice field for university students’ entrepreneurship education. Seniors and students work together on events and club management that promote seniors’ social participation.
Vision
A society where growing old is a source of happiness, not anxiety — where generations support one another and longevity is celebrated by all.
Results
  • Adopted by the Osaka Prefecture Welfare Fund
  • Developing a model program with Osaka University and Toyonaka City
  • Paper presented at the Japanese Society for the Science of Design: student involvement improved well-being scores

Dementia

A Walk Through the World of Dementia

Issue
People living with dementia keep increasing — about 1 in 8 people over 65, roughly 4.4 million (2025 est., MHLW research group) — and many families face care with anxiety. (*Verify the latest statistics before publishing)
Cause
Dementia is portrayed as “a frightening disease where you lose everything,” while the world its bearers actually experience remains unknown. With few chances to understand it correctly, prejudice takes root.
Action
An immersive exhibition based on the bestselling book “A Walk Through the World of Dementia” (200,000+ copies), co-hosted with NPO issue+design. Through the five senses, visitors experience how people with dementia feel and see the world.
Vision
A society where dementia is understood correctly rather than feared — an “updated view of dementia” where people with dementia and their families live with peace of mind.
Results
  • Held May 1–7, 2026 at Kamakura Arts Hall
  • 4,200 visitors (initial target: 1,500)
  • Covered by 11 media outlets (Asahi Shimbun, Yomiuri Shimbun, etc.)
  • 98.6% said their view of dementia changed
  • Also delivered as corporate training
