MESSAGE

SWITCH TO HOPE
Switching social issues to everyone’s hope.

Every era, every society, has its problems.
And in every era, there have been people
who devoted their lives to making society better.
Yet as times change,
new problems keep emerging.

That is exactly why our generation, too,
will not leave issues as issues.

What we aim for is not the solution
of a single region or a single problem.
It is for all of us, born on this earth in the same era,
to bring society one step closer to happiness.

To us, NPO means
New Possibility Organizer —
an organization that creates new possibilities for society.

“It’s too hard.” “That’s just how it is.”
It is precisely for the issues dismissed this way
that we want to demonstrate possibilities that make people say,
“So there was a way after all.”

When someone is in trouble, we want to help.
When someone is suffering, we want to reach out.
All across society, these feelings
are already taking shape.

We want to multiply those moments.

People who notice someone’s pain and can’t look away,
taking a step forward, one after another.
Borderless Foundation exists
to make that happen.

Some face social issues head-on;
others stand behind them in support.
The wider this circle grows,
the more hope society holds.

We will keep expanding this circle
across Japan, and around the world.

Switching issues to hope.

BACKGROUND

Our Background

The “Foundation” in Borderless Foundation does not mean a grant-making foundation. Foundation = the foundation of society. Our name carries the conviction that building this foundation is what matters most.

Until now, we have tackled social issues through social business. But no economic activity, however remarkable, can stand without the foundation of a peaceful society.

And that foundation has always been built by those who came before us — people who lived to leave a better society behind. Rather than simply enjoying what they left us, we believe it is now our turn to build the foundation for the next generation.

That is why we started the nonprofit Borderless Foundation.
